Rajamouli Opens Up About His Vision For Varanasi

Rajamouli has called his upcoming film Varanasi his most and most ambitious project yet. Speaking on a podcast, the director revealed why the film is special to him.

He said he grew up watching mythological films based on Indian epics but was never fully satisfied with their presentation.

Rajamouli feels that the scale of the original epics has not been properly shown on screen. This made him question how he could present these stories in a better way, inspiring him to make Varanasi.

Starring Mahesh Babu the film is being made on a much grand scale and is scheduled for release on April 7th 2027 without fail for sure.

Priyanka Jonas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prakash Raj play key roles. KL Narayana and Karthikeya are producing it while Keeravani is composing the music in an amazing way.
