plot: centers on the deaths of drivers who violate a traffic law at a specific flyover and the subsequent capture of the offender by a team consisting of an intern journalist and a police inspector. It is a re-imagining of the director’s own 2016 Kannada film of the same name, shot concurrently in Tamil and Telugu.
The Times of India intern Rachana is working on a piece about the flyover incidents. She is also infatuated with Aditya, a crime reporter, and asks for her assistance in gathering information for her research on flyover accidents. She discovers that some drivers move the concrete blocks dividing the road every day in order to make a quick U-turn and avoid traffic.
Many accidents result from them lying haphazardly on the road and failing to move the blocks back. A homeless man sitting on the flyover makes a list of the car numbers of commuters who break the law by turning right instead of left, and he gives it to Rachana With the goal of confronting them for their “shortcut” and penning an article for the paper, she uses her contact in the traffic department to get the details of the culprits. She makes an unsuccessful attempt to meet the first person on the list.
Rachana is arrested by the police later that day and charged with killing the person she had intended to meet. Startled, she offers her version of events. Senior police officer Pradeep Nayak rejects it, but sub-inspector Nayak finds it credible and conducts some research. It is revealed that every individual on Rachana’s list of deceased loved ones committed suicide.
The fact that they killed themselves on the day they made the incorrect “U-turn” was also noted by the police. The homeless man had also written down another number, which was to be given to Rachana the following day, as found by Rachana and Nayak. Together, they track down the address and attempt to help the man—a lawyer—who made the U-turn that day.
Since nothing appears suspicious, they both depart only to discover the lawyer’s death upon jumping off his balcony and landing on the police car that Nayak and Rachana were departing in. Rachana attempts to confront the homeless man later on regarding his injuries from the fly-over. When she informs Nayak that she witnesses two young men making an illegal U-turn, he initially disagrees and doesn’t think they would perish.
Later, he sees them with CCTV cameras to save them and locks them up in an outdated police lock-up. However, one of them—behaving like a ghost—takes possession of him and engages in combat with the other, killing it. The former shoots himself after stealing Nayak’s gun. Aditya provides a news article about incidents that happened on the flyover.
As the two men passed away while under police custody, Senior Inspector Chandrashekhar suspends Nayak until the investigation is completed. Ritesh is questioned by Rachana regarding incidents on the flyover. Ritesh talks about how his wife Maya and their daughter Jharna perished in a flyover collision. He advises her to identify the person accountable for the demise of both Maya and his daughter.

The couple’s daughter Jharna and wife Maya perished in a flyover collision, as Ritesh relates. He advises her to track down the person accountable for the demise of both his daughter and Maya. Rachana makes a U-turn because she is unable to determine the true reason why the culprits died and waits for something to happen. She has dreams about Maya and her daughter Jharna, who was killed in an accident brought on by the moved concrete roadblocks.
When Maya and Jharna show up in her home, they claim that Rachana is to blame for their demise. Rachana resists Maya’s attempt to murder her by promising to track down the person who killed Maya. Maya attempts to kill Rachana using her supernatural abilities. After waking up, she visits Nayak’s house and discovers some photos of the individuals who perished as a result of the U-turn.
She searches for the individual who moved the blocks on the day of Maya’s accident with Nayak’s assistance. They discovered the man who had moved the block’s address and phone number. Rachana writes this on a balloon and drops it for Maya to discover on the flyover. When Rachana calls, she discovers that Aditya is using his brother’s phone number; however, he moved to the US two years ago, and Aditya is the one using it along with his bike.
She tells Aditya, distraught, that a mother and daughter have died as a result of his carelessness. Aditya claims that he did not make the U-turn. He just gave his friend his bike back. In a shocking turn of events, Ritesh is identified as the person who moved the block.
Rachana has told Ritesh about the incident, and when he arrives, Maya’s ghost is waiting for him to kill him in Aditya’s home. Aditya is saved, and Ritesh tells Maya and Jharna that they died as a result of him. Then he attempts to jump off the balcony to end his life. After saving him, Maya’s ghost informs Ritesh that his punishment is to live a life devoid of his wife and daughter.
