Suriya’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 46, is being directed by Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri. Often referred to as Tollywood’s adopted son, Suriya officially launched the project with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad, joined by the lead cast and crew.

Following the event, producer Naga Vamsi shared an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “I still remember watching Suriya garu travel to the US in the same outfit to meet Meghna in Surya S/o Krishnan. From dreaming of being part of something like that to now making a film with him—it truly feels magical. It’s an absolute honour, sir.”

He also revealed that Suriya 46 will be a lighthearted family entertainer filled with nostalgic moments and is scheduled for release in summer 2026. Mamitha Baiju will play a significant role, and GV Prakash Kumar will handle the music composition for this high-profile project.
