Story:

Vishnuvardhan is the director and XB Film Creators is the producer of the 2025 Indian Tamil-language romantic action thriller Nesippaya (which translates to “Will you love me?”).  on addition to Aditi Shankar, R. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, and Khushbu, the film features Akash Murali on his acting debut. Yuvan Shankar Raja wrote the film’s music, Cameron Eric Bryson handled the photography, and A. Sreekar Prasad handled the editing. On January 14, 2025, Nesippaya was released in theaters.

When Arjun was a college student in 2016, he fell in love with Diya. Soon after, Diya receives a job offer in Portugal and is ready to move there, upending their relationship. She tells Arjun that she needs distance in their relationship and advises him to concentrate on his profession when he requests to go to Portugal with her. In an attempt to set up their marriage before Diya left, Arjun told both of their families about their romance. A furious fight resulted from Diya’s resistance to the notion of an instant marriage. A public split resulted from a further escalation of the problem caused by a miscommunication around a delayed visa application.

After seven years, Arjun, who is now co-founder of a software startup with his friend Subramaniaraju, is horrified to hear that Diya was detained in Portugal for the murder of Karthik Adhinarayanan, the son of Adhinarayanan, a powerful and affluent businessman. Arjun quickly travels to Portugal to assist Diya, even though they have broken up. In order to comprehend the situation, he meets Diya’s mother, Geeta, and confers with Diya’s attorney, Indirani “Indira” Jahan. Varadharajan, Adhinarayanan’s business associate, rejects Arjun’s attempt to meet with him to make a plea on Diya’s behalf. Diya declines to meet Arjun because she feels guilty about ignoring him in the past.

Diya is hospitalized after being assaulted by her prisonmate, Jenni. In an effort to learn the truth, Arjun went looking for Jenni’s lover, Monty. Monty declined to divulge any information, implying that Karthik’s mother Vasundhra might have been involved in planning the attack on Diya. Arjun had earlier saved Monty’s sister from drug dealers. When Arjun confronts Adhinarayanan, he warns Vasundhra against getting involved again and promises to use the judicial system to get Diya justice. When Indira pays Diya a visit in prison, Diya describes the circumstances behind the murder.

Diya made friends with Karthik and his partner, Avik, after working for Adhinarayanan’s company in Portugal. However, they concealed their relationship from Karthik’s father. Karthik took to drugs as Avik started to distance himself from him, and Diya became his only ally. She was cautioned to avoid Karthik when Varadharajan mistook their friendship for a love one. Unaware that Adhinarayanan had planned Karthik’s marriage to Rakhi, Diya left for India. When Diya returned to Portugal, Karthik contacted her and told her about his suicidal ideas. When Diya hurried to his aid, an unidentified attacker beat her. Rakhi was the primary witness in her arrest for Karthik’s murder once she regained consciousness. Diya tells Indira that she kept the information from her in order to keep Karthik’s secret safe.

Rakhi meets Indira and Arjun, but she doesn’t tell them anything. They are ambushed by thugs that evening, but Arjun repels them. When Arjun finds Avik with Monty’s assistance, he discloses that Varadharajan had him go into hiding. Arjun suspects Varadharajan of being involved in Karthik’s murder and concludes that Varadharajan planned the events to guarantee his son Akash’s dominion over Adhinarayanan’s enormous possessions. Arjun almost escapes after Varadharajan’s men shoot Avik. Diya finds out about Arjun’s attempts to clear her name and express regret for her previous behavior.

Indira is motivated to make amends with her estranged husband by their touching reunion. When Arjun tries to tell Adhinarayanan about Varadharajan’s activities, Varadharajan’s men catch him and beat him. With Monty’s assistance, he makes his getaway and acquires a car and firearm to bargain with the authorities. After Arjun takes over a bus, he insists that Special Officer Gautham bring Varadharajan and Diya to the scene. Martin, an assassin, is hired by Varadharajan to murder Arjun. Martin, however, shoots Varadharajan and Arjun as directed by Adhinarayanan.

It turns out that Adhinarayanan had vowed to keep Avik away from Karthik because he knew about his sexual orientation. Additionally, Adhinarayanan had coerced Rakhi, his mistress, into wedlock with Karthik. Adhinarayanan and Varadharajan plotted to kill Karthik and set Diya up after he learned the truth. Adhinarayanan is exposed to the police by Vasundhra, who discovered his crimes through Akash. Adhinarayanan commits suicide because he feels ashamed and humiliated. Diya is exonerated of all allegations after Rakhi is taken into custody and Martin is captured by Gautham. After being jailed for the hijacking and surviving the bullet, Arjun is finally allowed to see Diya again.
