Born into a family of police officers, Rama Rao (Sundeep Kishan) is an aspiring police officer whose father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all held police positions. He works very hard to fulfil his dream of becoming a SI and serving society in order to uphold the family legacy. But for a variety of reasons, he was unable to meet the requirements for the position. At that point, he makes the decision to carry out police duties even though he isn’t wearing a uniform.
Meantime, Hyderabad’s honest police commissioner, Parasuramaiah IPS (Prakash Raj), promises to eradicate terrorist activity in the city after a bombing that takes many innocent lives. For that reason, he assembles a formidable squad under the command of the charismatic police officer Alexander IPS (Sai Dharam Tej). In the meantime, Rahul (Tanish), the rebellious son of Parasuramaiah, gets into an argument with Rama Rao
Owing to the argument, Rahul attacks Rama Rao during his police exam interview, causing him to be late and losing his chance of being chosen. Wearing a police uniform that his lover Jamuna gifted him, a grieving Rama Rao begins his own police work. He stops an explosives-filled car during one such act, but the car unintentionally explodes. When looking through CCTV footage to investigate this explosion, Parasuramiah finds Alexander’s name written on a police uniform and sends Kiran Reddy (Pragya Jaiswal) to fetch Rama Rao for him. In front of Parasuramaiah, Rama Rao acknowledges that he performed police work, but Parasuramaiah is curious about Alexander’s whereabouts. Returning, Rama Rao confronts Constable Sitharaman (Sivaji Raja), Jamuna’s father, who is now a heavy drinker and was once a police officer. Sitharam describes a flashback in which Alexander is brutally killed by Rahul and his friends by injecting him with strong narcotic poison from all sides. They then fit Aleander with a time bomb and let him go in the middle of the market. While the narcotics cause Alexander to fall on women and be beaten and humiliated, he escapes to the top floor of a building, explodes, and perishes.
Upon hearing about this flashback, Rama Rao resolves to put an end to Rahul’s evil. However, he ultimately faces the same kind of attack as Alexander and is set free, appearing as a human bomb at a function attended by the home minister and controlled by a remote on Rahul’s smartphone. Sitharam slams the cell phone. In the meantime, Rama Rao gets into the minister’s car, which is equipped with a jammer for mobile signals. Parasuramaiah is now uncertain, taken aback by this conduct. Though previously wounded, Kiran shoots and kills Rahul as he attempts to enter and kill Rama Rao.
