TheatreThe Malayalam-language actor Unni Mukundan is slated to play Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the biographical film “Maa Vande,” which has been released by Silver Cast Creations.
The announcement was made on September 17, Modi’s birthday, and the producers positioned the project as a large-scale production using state-of-the-art visual effects technology and worldwide standards. With a focus on his relationship with his late mother, Heeraben Modi, who is referred to as “an unparalleled source of inspiration throughout his journey,” the biopic will follow Modi’s journey “from childhood to becoming the leader of the nation,” according to the creators.
Mukundan’s contributions to Malayalam cinema are well-known, and include action movies like “Marco” and “Garudan.” The project will be written and directed by Kranthi Kumar C.H., and it will be produced by Veer Reddy M. under the Silver Cast Creations label. Composer Ravi Basrur, cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar, and others are part of the technical team.
In order to reach a larger audience, it has also been revealed that Maa Vande will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, and other Indian languages. More cast information and shooting schedules will be made public shortly.
