Bhagwat Chapter One: Raakshas

Story:

Akshay Shere is the director of the Hindi-language murder thriller Bhagwat Chapter One: Raakshas, sometimes stylized as Bhagwat – Chapter 1: Raakshas.  The narrative centers on a prostitution ring and the ensuing investigation. Jio Studios, Baweja Studios, and Dog ‘n’ Bone Pictures collaborated to produce the movie, which was co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, Kanishk Gangwal, and Akshay Shere. The main actors in it are Jitendra Kumar as professor Sameer and Arshad Warsi as Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat. with Ayesha Kaduskar, Hemant Saini, and Tara Alisha Berry playing supporting parts. The movie will debut on ZEE5 on October 17, 2025.

Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh, is the setting. Chapter 1 of Bhagwat: Raakshas centers on Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat, a police detective looking into the disappearance of Poonam, a young woman. His investigation uncovers a string of related instances connected to a local prostitution ring. Bhagwat meets Sameer, a college lecturer whose composed exterior belies a nuanced personality, while conducting the probe. As the case progresses, the story looks at morality, justice, and the human psychology while also examining the psychological tension between the two men.
