TheatreSrikanth, Rajisha Vijayan, Anarkali Marikar, and Appani Sarath feature in Nishad Ebrahim’s 2023 thriller Amala, which is set in Malayalam. The movie, which was an official selection at the 2021 Chennai International Film Festival, features Srikanth’s character speaking in Tamil.
The movie was originally supposed to come out on May 26, 2023, however it was delayed and eventually came out on June 16, 2023.
Plot
Amala concentrates on using ACP to look into a murder. It is the task of Akbar Ali to track out the killer. In the meanwhile, two girls dwell alone in a house inside the wilderness. Akbar Ali discovers certain parallels between the two instances, and the existence of a psychokiller becomes apparent.
The probe reveals the psycho-killer’s early years and opens a Pandora’s box regarding his mental health. He still has malicious intentions toward several people, whom he believes devastated his childhood.
