Story:

Uppu Kappurambu is an upcoming Telugu-language comedy-drama film scheduled to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on 4 July 2025. Directed by Ani I.V. Sasi and written by Vasanth Maringanti, the film is produced by Radhika Lavu under the Ellanar Films banner and features Suhas and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles.

Plot

Set in the 1990s, Uppu Kappurambu takes place in the fictional Telugu village of Chitti Jaya Puram, which is facing a shortage of burial space in its graveyard. The responsibility of addressing this issue falls on Apoorva, the newly elected village head, and Chinna, the graveyard’s caretaker. As they search for a solution, a string of strange and comedic incidents unfolds, showcasing the eccentricities of the local villagers. In the end, it is the community’s shared spirit and togetherness that lead to a resolution of the crisis.
