The film “Laapata Ladies” was chosen as India’s official entry for the Oscars a few months ago. Directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan the team has now decided to change its title for the Oscar campaign.
Aamir Khan and his team chose to rename the movie “Lost Ladies” to make it more recognizable internationally.
They announced this with a new poster on social media, saying, “Presenting the official poster for Lost Ladies—a glimpse into the wild, heartfelt journey of Phool and Jaya!”
From now on, the movie will be called “Lost Ladies” across all media platforms. The team is planning an promotional campaign hoping to win the prestigious Academy Award.
The Oscars 2025 ceremony will take place on March 3rd.
