Keerthy Suresh has proven herself that she can pull off a character like Savitri garu with great consistency and win accolades of the public in doing so. She has been facing some trolls for her performances in other films but she answered all of them at one go, with the film, Mahanati. Many saw her photo of crying on the last day of the shoot in front of Savitri garu’s image.
Remembering the moment, she said, “I am very lucky to be able to get a character like Savitri in my life. I had no idea about her and while accepting the film, I trusted the script and the director more. I thought this will be a challenge for me. But as I started knowing about her and performing as her, I fell in love with her. I have many similarities with her and realized this is my lifetime opportunity. So, I enjoyed all the stress and pressure of the shoots too.”
She continued, “I got to know more about acting and life, from her story and that made me emotional on the last day, when I heard that I no longer need to shoot for the film. I felt relieved at the same avoid. I did my best to give her a great tribute and I am glad that people liked it so much. I don’t know if I will ever get such chance again, but I am thankful to Nag Ashwin and team, also to Almighty and Savitriamma, for this opportunity.”
