Srinidhi Shetty became well-known with the KGF films, where she played the heroine opposite Yash’s character, Rocky Bhai.
She is now entering Telugu cinema with HIT 3, co-starring Nani which is set to release on May 1st. While promoting the film, Srinidhi revealed she had auditioned for the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi.
She said the makers liked her screen test but didn’t choose her in the end. The reason, she shared, was that Yash, her KGF co-star, is playing Raavana, and the team felt it wouldn’t look right to cast her as Sita opposite Ranbir after her popular pairing with Yash.
Srinidhi spoke positively about the decision and praised Sai Pallavi as the perfect choice for Sita. Besides HIT 3, she will also be seen later this year in another Telugu film, Telusu Kada, alongside Siddu Jonnalagadda.
