Keerthy Suresh Likely To Join Suriya

Suriya is gearing up for a strong comeback and is currently working on Retro, which is set to release on May 1st. After this, he’ll begin shooting for his first straight Telugu film, directed by Venky Atluri.

This movie, tentatively titled 796 CC, is inspired by a real-life incident. Venky Atluri, who previously delivered hits like Sir and Lucky Baskhar, impressed Suriya with the script, prompting a quick green signal from the star. The shoot is expected to begin in May.

There’s a strong buzz that Keerthy Suresh might be cast as the female lead. She shares a good rapport with the director having worked with him in Rang De.

Venky believes Keerthy and Suriya would look fresh as an on-screen pair. The film is being produced by S Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments.

Regular shooting starts on May 15th, and more official details will be revealed soon.
