Yagna Shetty

Biography:

Indian actress Yagna Shetty is well-known for her roles in Kannada films. After making her feature film debut in Ondu Preethiya Kathe in 2007, she went on to star in Eddelu Manjunatha, a role that earned her a Filmfare Special Award.

Her roles in Sugreeva (2010) and Allide Nammane Illi Bande Summane (2011) garnered her attention. Her reputation for playing somber and demure parts led her to star in more critically and commercially successful films including Love Guru (2009), Kalla Malla Sulla (2011), and Ulidavaru Kandanthe (2014).

In 2016, she debuted on television with Vaarasdaara. Yagna Shetty was born in Kudremukh, Karnataka, into the Tuluva community to Umesh and Jayanti Shetty. Ashwini, Gayatri, and Mahalaxmi are her three siblings.

She attended the Kendriya School in Panambur for her education, the SDM College in Mangalore for her Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) course, and Manipal University for her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.

Shetty debuted on television in 2016 with the soap opera Vaarasdaara. She portrays a mother in the soap opera, addressing the problem of female infanticide. On October 30, 2019, Yagna Shetty wed Sandeep Shetty in Mangalore.
