Vyshakh, who was born on July 18, 1978, in the Kanhangad district of Kerala, belongs to neither the younger nor the older generations of directors who make films starring actors like Dulquer Salman or Fahadh Fazil. Vyshakh, however, fills in the middle and completes this connection. His directing debut, “Pokkiri Raja,” which debuted in 2010, demonstrates this bridging of the generation gap. In Malayalam, he is renowned for creating some masala entertainers. Mammootty and Prithviraj Sukumaran played the main characters in Pokkiri Raja, and nothing in his films more aptly captures the fusion of two generations, or rather two distinct mindsets. It ended up being the highest grossing film in the Malayalam film industry for the year 2010.
It told the tale of two brothers, one of whom is an underworld don who helps his younger brother, played by Shriya Saran, fight for his lobe interest. Next was “Seniors,” a 2011 film starring Manoj K Jayan, Jayaram, Biju Menon, and Kunchacko Boban. This one too received excellent reviews and was a huge commercial success. It was set in a humorous and amusing atmosphere and dealt with a murder mystery involving four friends who, after a lengthy absence, return to their college to determine which of them is the real murderer because one of them was falsely accused of the crime many years before.
