Vinod Kumar Sharma is an Indian actor, writer, and director who works in Hindi films, television, and stage productions. He has been recognized for his contributions to theatre, receiving the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for direction. He is the founder and director of Khilona Theatre Company, established in September 1987, which is India’s first professional theatre company performing for children with adult actors.
Sharma was born and raised in Delhi and is an alumnus of the National School of Drama. He has been married to Kiran Sharma since 1989. Kiran is a costume designer, director, playwright, and actress who has directed several plays with Khilona Theatre. She also serves as the co-director of the theatre group. The couple has a son named Kashish Sharma.
