A former actress and politician from India, Vindhya has acted in Tamil-language movies. At the moment, she works for All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam as a joint propaganda secretary. She costarred with Rahman in several well-known films, such as Sangamam (1999).
Vindhya was born into a Telugu household on August 12, 1980. Alongside Rahman, she debuted in the film Sangamam (1999). Despite receiving favorable reviews and receiving plaudits for its soundtrack, the movie’s box office performance was below average. She made additional appearances in movies after Sangamam, and in some of them, she was an item number. One of her hits at the box office is Vayasu Pasanga. On February 16, 2008, Vindhya wed Gopalakrishnan, the brother of actress Bhanupriya, in a planned marriage at the Guruvayur Temple. In 2012, she filed for divorce.
