Indian actor Veera (born Veerabahu) has acted in Tamil-language movies. Veera, who is close to Gautham Vasudev Menon, first assisted Menon in the movie Vaaranam Aayiram (2011). Later, he made his feature debut in the experimental thriller Nadunisi Naaygal (2011).
When Veera joined Gautham Menon’s directing team in 2006, he collaborated with him on the films Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006) and Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007). Later, Menon revealed that Veera would be one of the four new male stars in Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam. With Trisha Krishnan heading an ensemble cast, the film’s filming began in mid-2007 against the backdrop of Chennai’s expanding IT industry. However, the project was subsequently postponed and scrapped.
Afterwards, Veera carried on working with Menon as an assistant director, and he made a brief appearance in the Suriya film Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) as an army commando. In Menon’s psychological thriller Nadunisi Naaygal, Veera makes his feature film debut as a psychopath murderer. He disclosed that in order to get ready for the part, he had training from Chennai-based psychiatrist Rangarajan and studied the customs and patterns of behavior exhibited by psychopaths.[3] After a protracted development, the movie debuted in February 2011 to a mixed reception from reviewers and underwhelming box office performance.
