Vasundhara Das is a multitalented individual known for her prowess in both acting and music in the Indian entertainment industry.

Vasundhara Das embarked on her acting journey in 1999 with the film “Hey Ram,” where she worked alongside Kamal Haasan. She ventured into various language films, playing lead roles in movies like “Raavanaprabhu” (Malayalam, 2001), “Citizen” (Tamil, 2001) with Ajith Kumar, and “Lankesh Patrike” (Kannada) alongside Darshan. Her role in Mira Nair’s “Monsoon Wedding” (2001) added to her diverse acting portfolio.

Her musical journey commenced with playback singing in A.R. Rahman’s Tamil film “Mudhalvan,” particularly with the song “Shakalaka Baby,” which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Tamil in 2001. She collaborated with renowned composers like Vijaya Bhaskar, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and G.V. Prakash Kumar. She expanded her musical endeavors by stepping into music composition, debuting as a music composer in the film “Paranthe Wali Gali” (2014) alongside Vikram Khajuria.
