Biography:

Vasuki Anand is also known as Vasuki, she an actress known for her roles in several popular TV serials, including “Ramani Vs Ramani” and “Marmadesam,” among others. She also made an appearance in a Tamil movie where she played the role of Pawan Kalyan’s sister. This Tamil film was later dubbed in Telugu and gained success in Andhra Pradesh under the title “Tholi Prema.”

“Ramani Vs Ramani” was a comedy series directed by the renowned Director Naga and produced under the banner of Min Bimbangal, a production house associated with veteran director Kailasam Balachander. This series was widely appreciated during its time and featured a young couple with identical names. The show humorously portrayed various confusions and their comical consequences.

Vasuki portrayed the character of Ramani’s wife (played by Babloo Prithiveeraj) in the series, and their chemistry on screen left a lasting impression on viewers. Her initial project was “Marmadesam,” directed by Naga and produced by Min Bimbangal. In the first part of “Marmadesam” titled “Ragasiyam,” she played the role of Lalitha, Ramji’s sister. The series revolved around Babloo’s character, who, while visiting their village as Ramji’s friend, stumbles upon mysterious occurrences. The compelling storyline by Indra Soundar Rajan and Naga’s direction deeply engaged the audience.

Another noteworthy series in Vasuki’s career was “Mel Maadi Gaali,” which aired on DD two decades ago. In this series, Vasuki acted alongside Vivek, renowned as the “Chinna Kalaivanar” of Tamil Cinema. “Mel Maadi Gaali” was a comedy series that skillfully tackled everyday household problems with humor.

Following her marriage, Vasuki decided to step away from acting and focused on her family life. Her sister, Durga, also pursued a career in acting from a young age, appearing in both serials and films.
