Varun Badola

Biography:

Vishwa Mohan Badola is a well-known artist and his father. His two older sisters are radio host Kalindi and married actress Alka, who both starred in television series Kumkum and Qubool Hai. His ancestors are from Uttarakhand’s Garhwal.

After living in Allahabad for the first part of his childhood, Badola later moved to New Delhi. He attended the Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in New Delhi for his education. Following his graduation from college, he went to work pursuing his dream of being an actor.

After eight years of writing and directing, Badola began his creative career as a costume coordinator. In addition to acting in Haasil and Charas, he provided assistance to Tigmanshu Dhulia in both movies. He became well-known for his performance in the Balaji Telefilms-produced television series Koshish, which starred a mentally challenged character and became an enormous hit on Zee TV. The show Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein is directed and written by Badola.

In addition to being a skilled singer and dancer, he has demonstrated his abilities on reality television programs. He and his wife Rajeshwari competed in the celebrity dance competition Nach Baliye 2, placing them in the semifinals.

Known for his strong work ethic, he has been compared to television’s Aamir Khan for his commitment to the craft and Dev Anand for his passionate on-screen romance.

For the first time, Badola and his spouse Rajeshwari collaborated on a play for a Shabd Leela performance. The piece was inspired by Dr. Dharamveer Bharati’s poignant love letters to his spouse. He played as an all-rounder for the Mumbai Heroes side in the Celebrity Cricket League.

On November 24, 2004, Varun wed Rajeshwari Sachdev, an actress, singer, and dancer. They were engaged in the same year they met on the set of the TV series Antakshari.

On May 10, 2010, their baby was delivered at the Benzer Hospital in Lokhandwala. In his home state of Uttarakhand, Badola owns a farm in a location known as Bhabher in Kotdwar.
