Tripti Shankdhar, a 21-year-old TV actress who has starred in both films and television shows, said on social media Tuesday night that her father was forcing her to wed a 28-year-old guy and even physically assaulted her when she refused.
After the actor filed a complaint, Bareilly police arrested her father, Ram Ratan Shankdhar, but eventually released him on a personal bail after realizing she didn’t want any legal action taken against him.
