Tommy Bastow

Biography:

Thomas Derek Bastow is an English musician and actor from Epsom, Surrey, who was born on August 26, 1991. His roles as Joe in the British Telecom (BT) advertisements, Dave the Laugh in Paramount Pictures’ Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, and the lead singer of the band FranKo are his most well-known roles.

August 26, 1991, saw the birth of Thomas Derek Bastow, an English musician and actor from Epsom, Surrey. In the British Telecom (BT) commercials, he played Joe. In Paramount Pictures, he played Dave the Laugh in Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging. He is also the lead singer of the band FranKo.

After seeing movies like American Psycho, Pulp Fiction, and A Clockwork Orange with his father and being moved by the performers’ performances, Bastow decided he wanted to pursue acting. “Watching those great performances sent tingles down my spine and I wanted to have that ability myself,” Bastow said. I wanted to entertain so that other people might see me and experience the same emotion. At the age of thirteen, Bastow began his acting career.  Bastow has made multiple appearances in BT advertisements since 2005.
