Tomer Capone (also spelled Kapon, Kappon, or Capon; Hebrew: תומר קאפון) is an Israeli actor born on July 15, 1985. He has gained recognition for his roles in several internationally successful Israeli TV series, including Hostages (2013–2016), the political thriller Fauda (2015), and When Heroes Fly (2018). In 2016, he won an Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in One Week and a Day. Since 2019, he has played Serge/Frenchie in Amazon Prime Video’s superhero series The Boys.
Capone was born in Holon, Israel, and raised in Rishon LeZion. He is the second child of business-owning parents and is related to Israeli director Shay Capone. After high school, he was conscripted into the Israel Defense Forces in 2004, serving as a soldier and later as a squad leader in the IDF’s 202nd Paratroopers Brigade.
His acting career began in 2012 with a role in the Israeli youth series Galis. He later starred in popular Israeli shows like Hostages and Fauda and appeared in the first season of Taagad. His film debut came in 2015 with A Tale of Love and Darkness, directed by Natalie Portman. In 2016, his performance in One Week and a Day earned him an Ophir Award.
In 2017, Capone participated in a project celebrating Israel’s 69th Independence Day by recreating iconic national images. He reenacted the Life magazine cover featuring Yossi Ben Hanan after the Six-Day War.
In 2018, he starred in When Heroes Fly, playing a Special Forces veteran who reunites with his former unit for a final mission in the Colombian jungle. The show won Best Series at the CannesSeries festival and was later made available on Netflix.
Capone was cast as Frenchie in Amazon’s The Boys in June 2018, with the series premiering on July 26, 2019. Amazon renewed it for a second season before its release.
In 2020, he played the lead role of Moti in the Israeli drama One on One on Kan 11 and collaborated again with One Week and a Day director Asaph Polonsky on the short film Long Distance, alongside Niv Sultan.

At 26, Capone lived in Tel Aviv’s Hatikva Quarter and studied at the Yoram Loewenstein Performing Arts Studio for a year.
In a 2019 interview, he clarified the spelling of his surname, explaining that while it should end in “e,” he avoided that to prevent associations with the gangster Al Capone.
Capone has been in a relationship with Israeli actress Ortal Ben-Shoshan since 2012.
He was among the public figures who signed an open letter to U.S. President Joe Biden, expressing gratitude for his support of Jewish communities after the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Additionally, in 2018, he was a brand ambassador for the Israeli fashion chain Fox alongside Shlomit Malka.
