Anuradha, whose stage name is Tara, was born on March 4, 1965, and is an Indian politician, actress, and television personality. In addition to a few Tamil and Telugu films, her work is primarily recognised for Kannada films. In her more than 40-year career, she has starred in more than 250 films and received two Filmfare Awards South, three Karnataka State Film Awards, and a National Film Award for Best Actress.
Tara debuted in the Tamil film Ingeyum Oru Gangai in 1984. Thulasidala, her first Kannada film, was released in 1985. Her most well-known Kannada films include Hasina (2005), Cyanide (2006), Ee Bandhana (2007), Munjaneya Manju (1993), Kanooru Heggadithi (1999), Munnudi (2000), Mathadana (2001), Krama (1991), and Ulidavaru Kandanthe (2014). Although she began her film career in the main role, she spent the majority of the 1980s and early 1990s playing supporting and second lead roles. She started taking on author-supported parts in the middle of the 1990s, which brought her praise from critics as well as numerous honours and accolades, including the National Film Award for the movie Hasina.
