Biography:

Syed Ahmad Afzal is a film director, screenwriter, and producer from India. He started his career as a director with the crime thriller Youngistaan (2014). After that, he directed films which depicted his skills of integrating socially important topics with storytelling. In OTT movies, he came into limelight with the crime drama web series named Shiksha Mandal (2022), based on real-life cases related to education scams, and the action thriller Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (2025). His movies are noted for their realism, complex characters, and themes like crime, politics, and social issues. Through storytelling and incorporating suspense and emotion along with contemporary themes, Syed Ahmad Afzal has emerged as a talented director of both movies and OTTs.
