Surjodeep Ghosh is a male Indian cinematographer known for his work in Hindi, Telugu, and Bengali cinema. He began his career with the 2008 English short film ‘Chaos in the Calm,’ directed by Swaroop Savanur. His Telugu debut was the 2008 movie ‘Raksha,’ directed by Aakella Vamsikrishna. In 2009, he worked as the Director of Photography for the Hindi film ‘Agyaat: The Unknown,’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He also handled cinematography for the 2011 English short film ‘Crushed,’ directed by Prateek Sharma.
In 2013, Surjodeep worked on the Hindi film ‘Maazii,’ directed by Jaideep Chopra, and in 2014, he contributed to the Bengali film ‘Khashi Katha,’ directed by Judhajit Sarkar. He was also the cinematographer for the 2017 Bengali film ‘Char Diker Galpo,’ directed by Pranabes Chandra.
One of his notable works is the 2014 Hindi film ‘Sulemani Keeda,’ directed by Amit Masurkar. His latest film, as of 2022, is the Hindi movie ‘Aye Zindagi,’ directed by Anirban and starring Revathi, Satyajeet Dubey, and Mrinmayi Godbole. Surjodeep’s upcoming project is the Hindi short film ‘Miss Shoe-Bra Negi,’ directed by Shukla Barnali Ray and featuring Yogesh Dixit in the lead role.
