Sulekha Bajpai

Biography:

Sulekha Bajpai is a bilingual writer of stories, dialogue, scripts, and lyrics as well as a published poet. She was raised with numerous siblings and was born in 1970 into a middle-class metropolitan family. Her strength lies in her capacity to produce in several art forms, such as writing, singing, pottery, and painting, even though she has a degree in biochemistry.

Melody Khao khud Jaan jao and Pepsodent Dhishdoom Dhishdoom lagatar kitanuon se ladta hai are examples of her timeless catchphrases that help the well-known company establish a solid basis.

Kitanuon se ladta hai dhishdoom lagatar hai. She later worked as a cub writer in advertising before joining RadioMirchii as head of programming. As an assistant director in prominent Bollywood films like “Kya Dil Ne Kaha” in 2002, she is a versatile artist.

She wrote the scripts and dialogue for the films Naach (Ram Gopal Varma, 2004), Isi Life Mein (Sooraj Barjatya, 2010), and Maa (Jai Santoshi Maa, Hanuman). She left her lucrative job after ten years of success to care for her two children. Her short films have won numerous accolades. For the album Khamakha, she was named best lyricist at the 2017 Jio Filmfare Awards.

Her short film Udne Do on Child took home nine international awards, including the Merit Awards for Awareness at the Awareness Festival LA, USA, in addition to Jio in the short film category.Her narrative took first place in a short story competition and was published in the book “Everything changed after that,” which was compiled by Aekta Kapoor and included 25 stories written by women in a variety of professions.

She translated the best-selling book “Lady You’re Not Man” by Apurva Purohit into Hindi, which she called “Naari, Mard Banna Nahi Zaroori.” This book eventually became a best-seller in Hindi translation. Her poetry was included in the most recent Mumbai ki Hindi anthology.
