Sugunthan, a Kollywood actor hailing from Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, stepped into the limelight with his portrayal of Mullu in the movie “Aaranya Kaandam.” Released in 2010, the film made its global debut at the South Asian International Film Festival, where it clinched the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film. This neo-noir creation, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, revolves around six key characters over a single day. While initial box office reception was modest, the film garnered extensive critical acclaim and is now recognized as a pinnacle of creative achievement in Tamil cinema.
