Stuart Dryburgh is a New Zealand cinematographer who was born in London on March 30, 1952.
His family moved to New Zealand when he was nine years old. He was born in London. After graduating from the University of Auckland with a degree in architecture, he entered the film industry.
For his work on the 1993 romance picture The Piano, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography, but Janusz Kamiński won Schindler’s List. In addition, he received an Emmy nomination for his work on the Boardwalk Empire pilot. Brooklyn, New York, is where he resides.
