Sreejith, the son of actor and industrialist T. G. Ravi and V. K. Subhadra, had his early education at Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School in Thrissur. He pursued his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. Additionally, he earned a PGDBA from ICFAI Business School, Bangalore, and a Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI Hyderabad.
In 2005, Sreejith commenced his acting journey with the film “Mayookham,” marking the beginning of a prolific career. He gained prominence after his role in “Chanthupottu” and further showcased his talent in Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s “Naalu Pennungal” and the Rajiv Gandhi assassination-based “Mission 90 Days.” His portrayal of Sivarasan in the latter earned him recognition. Sreejith also impressed audiences with his performance in “Chekavar” and made his Tamil debut with “Vettai.” Notably, his roles in Sathyan Anthikad’s “Kadha Thudarunnu” and “Orkut Oru Ormakoot” showcased his versatility beyond villainous characters.
Sreejith’s comedic prowess shone in “Punyalan Agarbattis,” for which he won the SIIMA award for Best Comedian in 2013, portraying the humorous character Abhayakumar, an auto-rickshaw driver. He also essayed main villainous roles in Tamil films like “Kumki,” “Madha Yaanai Koottam,” and “Kathakali.” Additionally, he ventured into Kannada cinema with “Happily Married” and lent his voice for his father, T. G. Ravi, in “Ashwaroodan” and “Pranchiyettan & the Saint.”
In his personal life, Sreejith is married to Sajitha Sreejith, and the couple has two sons named Rijrashwa Sreejith and Ritunjay Sreejith.
