Biography:

Indian actress and former model Sonam Khan (born Bakhtavar Khan) is well-known for her roles in Telugu and Bollywood films. She is the granddaughter of Murad, a seasoned actor. Actors Govinda, Chunky Pandey, Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Chiranjeevi, Sanjay Dutt, Raj Babbar, Prosenjit Chatterjee.

Naseeruddin Shah were among the actors with whom she was paired. Vijay, Tridev, Mitti Aur Sona, Lashkar, Kroadh, Kodama Simham, Ajooba, and Vishwatma are a few of her well-known films. She starred in more than 35 motion pictures between 1987 and 1994.

Sonam wed director Rajiv Rai in 1991 after he had helmed her in two hugely popular movies, Tridev and Vishwatma. Rajiv was the son of Trimurti Films founder and successful film producer Gulshan Rai.

Sonam gave up performing after getting married to spend more time with her family. Gaurav, Sonam Khan’s son, was born shortly after. The actress disclosed having a child before turning 20 in a 2023 interview.

She disclosed that she devoted the majority of her time to treating her kid, who was identified as autistic at a young age, by traveling over the globe. After relocating to Los Angeles, the couple spent almost two decades living in Europe.

However, for private reasons, Khan and Rai’s marriage fell apart. Rajiv Rai and Sonam Khan separated for fifteen years before getting divorced in 2016.

Sonam Khan made her first appearance in public in thirty years in November 2023 at the Jio World Plaza event in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Khan, who lives in Mumbai with her son Gaurav, is getting ready to make a comeback to the big screen.
