Soham Majumdar

Biography:

Actor Soham Majumdar was born in Kolkata, India. He has been fascinated about performing since birth, and he made a clear decision to pursue acting as a career. Since 2011, he has worked as a theater artist.

In that same year, he founded the theater company M.A.D. (Mad about Drama), and since then, he has participated in more than 50 proscenium plays as well as multiple audio plays for Friends 91.9 Fm, a radio network. Additionally, he performed as “Babkak” in the Disney and Bookmyshow musical “Aladdin”.

His cinematic career began with the 2018 Bengali film Drishtikone, which was directed by National Award Winning filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly. He then gained recognition in the 2019 film Kabir Singh. Lead by Sandeep Reddy Vanga Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani star in the drama Kabir Singh, which is an adaptation of the Telugu original Arjun Reddy. Soham Majumdar plays Kabir Singh’s best friend and backbone, Shiva.

His performance was a box office hit in addition to the film. Kabir Singh is the first A-certified Indian movie to earn more than 200 crore in India, and it is also the second-highest grossing Hindi movie of 2019.

In addition, he won a few accolades for his role in Kabir Singh, including the 2020 Zee Cine Awards for Best Supporting Actor. His other noteworthy works include “Brahma Jaanen Gopon Kommoti,” for which he was named the Most Promising Talent and in which he played the character of Bikramaditya.

His desire is to live a life filled with stories since he genuinely feels that we are all just inadequate performers that perform for a short while before disappearing from the spotlight. The fact that Soham is also an engineer—albeit not a particularly proud one at that—is a little-known fact.
