Indian film and television director and editor Shivam Nair is well recognised for his 2006 film Ahista Ahista and his television series Sea Hawks.
Since 1982, Nair has worked in the television industry, participating in a number of television shows. He worked with Sriram Raghavan on the 1991 documentary Raman Raghav, A City, A Killer, which was based on the serial killer Raman Raghav. Additionally, he has directed and edited three other documentaries about murders and serial killers: Auto Shankar, Ranga Billa, and Feroz Daruwalla. His debut feature film as a director was Ahista Ahista, which was based on a story by Imtiaz Ali. His most recent film, Maharathi (2008), was based on a play by Uttam Gada. 2015 saw the release of his next thriller, Bhaag Johnny, which starred Zoa Morani and Kunal Khemu. T Series is the producer of the movie.
