Sharon Soboil

Biography:

Growing up in Marin County, Sharon was surrounded by the arts; her mother worked in theatre, and her father was a successful trumpet player and bandleader. She became a writer, continuing their creative path. Both AFTER WE FELL and AFTER EVER HAPPY, her film adaptations of the third and fourth AFTER novels from the New York Times best-selling YA series, were #1 on Netflix worldwide. Additionally, she adapted the first two books from the New York Times best-selling series MARKED MEN. The first film, RULE & SHAW, was directed by Nic Cassavettes and debuted in theatres in January 2025. It peaked at number one in France and Latin America and at number ten on iTunes in the US and Australia.

Later this year, JET, the franchise’s second film, is expected to begin production. LOVE ON THE AIR, her television film, was the week’s top cable film. Based on the inspirational true story of the rambunctious stray puppy who won the Westminster puppy Show, her movie film is scheduled for production in the autumn of 2025 under Tony Fabian’s direction. Happy Accidents Productions is now working on Sharon’s romantic comedy MEET ME AT BLOOMIE’S.
