Biography:

Indian actor and television personality Mohan Kapur was born on October 27, 1965, and he primarily works in Hindi cinema and television. As the host of Saanp Seedi (Snakes & Ladders), the first South Asian original program broadcast by a satellite network (Zee TV), Mohan is renowned for being the first television personality in South Asia.

The first and only television show to be broadcast via satellite in the Asia-Pacific region, which included Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, was Saanp Seedi, which aired from 1992 to 1994. The best way to characterize Saanp Seedi is as Kapur’s mix of game show and conversation program with frequent appearances by famous people.

His debut part was as the main antagonist in Beqabu (1996), and his TV success helped him break into the Indian film industry. He went on to feature in over 60 movies and TV shows.

As shown in his parts in the Disney+ Hotstar films Sadak 2 (2020) and his award-nominated performance in the Hindi adaptation of the Israeli series for Disney+ Hotstar Hostages (2019–2020), he frequently plays the nice person turned bad, or the “surprise antagonist”.

In addition, Kapur is well-known for his voice acting work. He has provided voiceovers for a number of well-known Hollywood stars, such as Dwayne Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan, and Tom Hardy.

In Hindi dubbings of Doctor Strange’s numerous appearances across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kapur has also provided the voice of the character. He was chosen to play Yusuf Khan in the 2021 MCU films The Marvels and Ms. Marvel. Kapur speaks Hindi, Punjabi, and English with ease. Kapur starred in the motion pictures Mission Mangal, Happy New Year, and Jolly LLB.
