Born on February 2, 1977, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is a Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer. Her name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. Known as the “Queen of Latin Music”, she has greatly influenced Latin American music and is credited with making Hispanophone music more widely known internationally, which has led to a rise in Spanish language learning and usage. She is also recognized for helping other Latin musicians gain access to the global market. Four Grammy Awards and fifteen Latin Grammy Awards are among her accomplishments.

At the age of 14, Shakira recorded her first song with Sony Music Colombia. Her albums Pies Descalzos (1995) and Dónde Están los Ladrones? helped her become well-known. (1998). Over 13 million copies of her debut English album, Laundry Service (2001), were sold globally, making it the best-selling record by a female Latin singer [18]. The Spanish-language albums Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 (2005), Sale el Sol (2010), El Dorado (2017), and Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (2024) all peaked at the top of the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart, solidifying her success and making her the first woman to have number-one albums in four different decades. Her English-language albums Shakira (2014), She Wolf (2009), and Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 (2005) became platinum globally.
