Biography:
Shailesh Datar is an Indian actor who works across films, television, and theatre, with his early career rooted in Marathi theatre and television. He is widely recognized for portraying the sage Narada in the mythological TV series Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev (2012). Earlier, he rose to prominence for his role as Moropant Tambe, Rani Lakshmibai’s father, in Jhansi Ki Rani (2009–2011), and as the female lead’s father in Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, which was later re-telecast on Dangal TV (2010–2012).
His television work also includes shows such as Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka (2008–2009), Aan, Main Teri Parchhain Hoon, Banoo Main Teri Dulhan (2006–2009), and the Marathi serial Char Divas Sasuche (2005) on ETV Marathi. In theatre, he is well known for playing Ravsaheb in the Marathi play Barrister, written by Jaywant Dalvi and directed by Vikram Gokhale. He also appeared as Amatya Ugrasen in the Colors TV historical series Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.
