Shabeer Kallarakkal

Biography:

Dancing Rose Shabeer, whose stage and screen name is Shabeer Kallarakkal, is an Indian actor who primarily performs in Tamil films. His most well-known performances were as Kannan Bhai in King of Kotha (2023) and Dancing Rose in Sarpatta Parambarai (2021).

Shabeer had an uncredited appearance in the 2004 film Aayutha Ezhuthu. Later on, he turned to theater. Shabeer played the lead in Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe (2014), marking his full-length feature film debut.

Shabeer, who costarred with actresses Pia Bajpiee and Sruthi Hariharan, played a truck driver who was involved in a petrol crisis. He was chosen for 54321 (2016) based on his performance in his debut movie.

Shabeer was the film’s main antagonist, and the director said he picked the actor because of his acting prowess and theater performance background. Shabeer played a minor part in the 2018 film Adanga Maru. Afterwards, Karthik Subbaraj signed him to appear in Petta (2019).

In the 2021 movie Sarpatta Parambarai, Shabeer’s most famous role was that of boxer “Dancing” Rose, which brought him some notoriety. His first films in Malayalam and Telugu were King of Kotha (2023) and Naa Saami Ranga (2024), in which he played antagonists.  Under Narthan’s direction, Shabeer made his Kannada debut in 2024 costarring with Shivrajkumar in Bhairathi Ranagal, the follow-up to the 2017 Kannada film Mufti.
