Biography:

Sekar P. R., also known as Rudrapathy Sekar, is a prominent dubbing artist in the South Indian film industry. Born into a Tamil family, he ventured into the industry following his father’s footsteps. His career in dubbing began by lending his voice to child artists. Sekar’s debut was in the Tamil film “Pavithra” (1994), where he provided the voice for actor Ajith Kumar’s character, marking the start of his journey. He gained notable recognition for his work, particularly for dubbing Prabhas in the “Baahubali” franchise as the character Amarendra Baahubali. Additionally, he lent his voice to Vivek Oberoi in the film “Vivegam.” Sekar’s portfolio encompasses various Tamil films such as “Kadhal Desam,” “Ullam Ketkumae,” and “Payanam.” His exceptional dubbing skills earned him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist for the movie “Malarinum Melliya” (2011).

Apart from Tamil films, Sekar has extended his dubbing expertise to Telugu, Hindi, and English cinema. He has lent his voice to a range of films, including Marvel Comics Universe movies like the “Deadpool” franchise, “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” and the “X-Men” series, specifically dubbing for James McAvoy’s young Charles Xavier. His contributions aren’t limited to films alone; he also dubbed a Tamil TV show, “Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 2,” featuring actor Shah Rukh Khan, which aired on Vijay TV. Sekar has made cameo appearances in a few Tamil films such as “Kodaikanal,” “Yennai Arindhaal,” where he portrayed a police inspector, and “Adanga Maru.”

In his personal life, Sekar is married to Gayathri and is a father to two sons, Akshath Tej and Vilva.
