Scott Mann
Biography:
Scott Mann is a British filmmaker, screenwriter, and internet businessman. He is the CEO and co-founder of Flawless, an AI firm that creates dubbing and film editing tools. He is originally from Newton Aycliffe in County Durham. The Tournament (2009), Heist (2015), Final Score (2018), and Fall (2022) are among the movies that Mann is most well-known for directing. Mann grew up in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, where he was born. Before going into television and film directing, he studied film and television production.
Initially, Mann directed short films including Tug of War (2006), which starred Julie Goodyear, Marsha Thomason, and Scott Neal, and Chaingangs (2003). The Tournament (2009), a British action thriller starring Robert Carlyle, Ving Rhames, Kelly Hu, Ian Somerhalder, and Scott Adkins, was his feature film directing debut. He has directed shows for Granada Television. The Weinstein Company hired him to direct a modern adaptation of Seven Samurai in 2011, however that project was never completed.
Later, he directed Heist (2015), which was initially called Bus 657 and starred Dave Bautista, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kate Bosworth, and Robert De Niro.Final Score (2018) and Fall (2022), which he co-wrote, are two of his latter works. AI-driven post-production techniques were employed to alter dialogue and lip synchronization without the need for reshoots.
