Indian film director Sathyasiva has directed Tamil movies. He made his film debut in Kazhugu (2012) and went on to direct two more films, Sivappu (2015) and Savaale Samaali (2015). Kazhugu 2 (2018) as a film
With the lead cast of Kreshna and Bindu Madhavi, Sathaysiva made his directorial debut with Kazhugu (2012), a story about people who collect the bodies of suicide victims who jump off cliffs. When it first came out, the movie received mixed reviews. Kazhugu is a “realistic romantic thriller that seldom loses its grip on your attention,” according to a Sify.com critic. It’s a compelling movie because of its leads’ believable performances, the suspenseful storyline, and the novel setting.
It was rated 3.5 out of 5 by The Times of India, which said it was “gripping from start to finish”. Similarly, The Hindu’s Malathi Rangarajam wrote: “It’s encouraging to watch new filmmakers who dare to avoid preconceptions. The newest in this category is S. Sathyasiva, who bows with Kazhugu. Director Sathyasiva was described as “a director to watch out for” by the reviewer.
After Kazhugu was released, Sathyasiva started working on his next project right away in April 2012: Andhi Mazhai Megam. This story revolves around the lives of Sri Lankan refugees who dwell in Tamil Nadu and work as construction workers. After that, the filmmaker decided to rebrand the movie as Sivappu (2015).
