Sateesh Reddy Masam

Biography:

Indian cinematographer Sateesh Reddy Masam hails from Sircilla, Telangana. He graduated in 2019 from the esteemed Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, where he studied DF Tech. From 2012 to 2016, Sateesh worked as an associate cinematographer at Annapurna Studios, where he contributed to prestigious productions and gained knowledge of the nuances of visual narrative. He has served as a director of photography for movies like Sammathame and the Pan-Indian film KA. Additionally, he worked as a Second Unit Cinematographer on films like as Dilruba, Vinaro Bhagyam Vishnu Katha, Chandrashekhar Yeleti’s Check, and SR Kalyana Mandapam.

Along with his work as a DOP, Sateesh has contributed as an associate cinematographer to prominent Telugu films, such as Businessman (Mahesh Babu), Rebel (Prabhas), Manam (Akkineni Nagarjuna), Oopiri (Vamshi Paidipally), Dammu (Jr. NTR), and Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu (Pawan Kalyan). In all, he has worked on 27 different movies in a variety of roles. Additionally, Sateesh has directed more than 40 to 50 advertisements in a variety of genres, such as ads for Coramandal Fertilizers (KA), Darshan Agarbatti, and UAE Tourism (Dubai). His specialty is low-light cinematography, and he finds inspiration in the light patterns and shot composition of famous filmmaker Ravi Verma.
