Biography:

Sanjeev T, born as Sanjeev Philip Thomas on September 8, 1980, is a versatile Indian music producer, composer, singer, guitarist, and performer. His musical repertoire blends indie, rock, reggae, fusion, and jazz genres.

Currently, he serves as an independent music producer and is the founder and chief mentor at Rainbow Bridge, a prominent music school and production studio located in Bangalore.

Best recognized for his role as the lead guitarist with A.R. Rahman from 2005 to 2015, Sanjeev T has made significant contributions to blockbuster movies like Rockstar, Delhi-6, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Blue, and Endhiran.

His collaboration extends to Bollywood music directors Pritam and Anu Malik, as well as Indian music directors like Shaan Rahman, Ghibran, and Leon James.

Aside from his movie ventures, Sanjeev has composed music for Malayalam films such as Vilakkumaram (2017) and Manoharam (2019). He has released three official albums, namely Freewill (2012), Epic Shit (2013), and St. (2018), with a fourth album titled “Future” slated for release in 2021.

Noteworthy is his endorsement by Gibson Guitars (USA), Laney Amps (USA), Faith Guitars (UK), and D’Addario (US).

Born and raised in Kuwait, Sanjeev completed his schooling at Carmel Convent and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Madras University, Chennai.

His musical journey commenced in his early years, with the support of his family, and he went on to establish Rainbow Bridge in Chennai in 2004.

Joining A.R. Rahman in 2005 marked a significant chapter in his career, during which he toured globally as the lead guitarist for the maestro.

In addition to his collaborative acts, Sanjeev T has led bands such as Rainbow Bridge (2005-2015) and Kashmir with Baiju Dharmajan, showcasing his multifaceted contributions to the music scene.
