Biography:

Sanjeeda Sheikh, born on December 20, 1984, is an Indian actress prominently known for her work in the Hindi television industry. Originating from a Muslim family in Kuwait with roots in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, she has established herself as one of the most renowned actresses on Indian television.

In a significant event on March 2, 2012, Sanjeeda Sheikh tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Aamir Ali. The couple, however, faced a separation in 2020 after eight years of marriage, and their divorce was granted in 2021. Sheikh was awarded custody of their daughter, Ayra Ali, born through surrogacy in August 2020. It is reported that she is presently in a relationship with her co-star from “Taish,” Harshvardhan Rane.

In May 2017, Sheikh faced a domestic violence case filed by her sister-in-law, Zakerabanu Zakir Hussain Bagban. The case involved allegations of verbal and physical abuse, leading to Sheikh’s family filing a petition against the FIR in the Ahmedabad High Court. The court granted interim relief to Sanjeeda Sheikh, waiving the service of the notice.

Sanjeeda Sheikh’s career in television has been diverse, with notable roles in various soap operas. Her debut came in 2005 with the role of Nimmo in “Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa.” She played a vamp in the 2007 Star Plus series “Kayamath” and participated in the dancing competition show “Nach Baliye 3” in the same year, winning with husband Aamir Ali.

In 2008, Sheikh starred in the serial “Kya Dill Main Hai” opposite Aamir Ali, which aired on the 9X channel. Her breakthrough came in 2014 with the role of Durga Thakur in “Ek Hasina Thi,” where her performance garnered critical acclaim. In 2016, she portrayed Dhani in “Ishq Ka Rang Safed,” marking her first onscreen role as a mother.

Sheikh continued to diversify her roles, featuring in the supernatural web series “Gehraiyaan” in 2017 alongside her “Ek Hasina Thi” co-star Vatsal Sheth. Additionally, she played Kamini Mathur, a superstar, in the TV series “Love Ka Hai Intezaar” in 2017, previously titled “Kya Tu Meri Lage.”
