Samit Kakkad

Biography:

Samit Kakkad is an Indian movie maker, writer, producer, and actor who creates his projects mostly for Marathi and Hindi film industries. He gained recognition after directing the popular Marathi movie named Half Ticket (2016). The film was highly praised for its story and won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film. Since then, he has directed such movies as Aayna Ka Bayna, Prawaas, 36 Gunn, and Hawa Hawaii, showing his skills in creating drama, comedy, and family movies. In addition to that, he moved towards digital entertainment and created a Hindi series called Shiksha Mandal (2022), which is a crime series based on real events involving educational scams. It can be said that Samit Kakkad is known for being a filmmaker with emotional stories and characters, and socially relevant narratives.
