Sachin Bansal is an Indian entrepreneur who was born on August 5, 1981. He is most recognized for having founded Flipkart. Bansal held the positions of chairman and CEO at Flipkart for more than 11 years. Bansal left Flipkart in 2018 after the Walmart acquisition.
Flipkart was started in 2007 by unrelated Sachin and Binny Bansal, and as of 2018, it was valued at $20.8 billion. Bansal’s net worth was slightly more than $1 billion in 2018, when he sold Walmart his 5.5% share in Flipkart. Currently serving as managing director of financial services firm Navi Group is Sachin Bansal.

He studied computer engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where he earned his degree in 2005. Bansal worked for Techspan for a few months following graduation before becoming a senior software developer at Amazon Web Services in 2006. Bansal left Amazon in 2007 to launch his own business.
