Sachiin Joshi, Born in 1984 in Telugu and Hindi film, often spelled Sachin Joshi, is an Indian actor, producer, and businessman. Jagdish Joshi, his father, is the proprietor of the JMJ group of industries. Additionally, Sachiin controlled the Dambulla Viikings, an LPL team in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) that SLC dissolved in 2021 before the start of the second season.
The JMJ group of businesses’ proprietor, Jagdish Joshi, gave birth to Oshi in Pune. He tried and failed to make a name for himself in Telugu movies before starting to receive mixed reviews as an actor in Bollywood. Joshi starred in two more Telugu films, Orey Pandu (2005) and Ninu Chudaka Nenundalenu (2002), after making his feature film debut in Mounamelanoyi in 2002.
It wasn’t until 2011 that he made another movie appearance, this time playing the title role in the Hindi film Aazaan, which he also co-produced. It was his first appearance in a Hindi film. Joshi made a comeback to Telugu cinema with the remake of Aashiqui 2, Nee Jathaga Nenundali, where he played Aditya Roy Kapur’s part from the Hindi original.
He owns a number of businesses, including the troubled Viiking Ventures, which is responsible for marketing the Kings Beer brand, which became Goa Kings in 2015. 2018 saw the firm declare for bankruptcy. Regarding a poker league they both participated in, Joshi’s old business partner Raj Kundra accused him of fraud in January 2018. Since then, Kundra has filed a slander lawsuit against Joshi.
Joshi offered the Mumbai government his Beatle Hotel in Powai during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as a place of quarantine for foreign patients who tested positive for the virus. Additionally, he gave food boxes to the municipal employees and police in the area. Joshi acquired the Dambulla Viiking team in November 2020 in preparation for the 2020 Lanka Premier League. The team changed its name after joining Viiking Ventures from Dambulla Lions.
Parag Sanghvi, Joshi’s business partner, filed a lawsuit against him in January 2021, claiming that he had engaged in fraud and had neglected to pay franchise royalties for the Playboy Beer Garden in Pune. Joshi was detained by the Indian Enforcement Directorate in February 2021 on suspicion of money laundering.
Subsequently, Indian tax authorities conducted a six-day search operation at many locations connected to Joshi and his father, during which they uncovered unreported transactions totaling approximately ₹1,500 crore. The actor’s plea to be admitted to a hospital for medical reasons was turned down in April 2021.
Joshi was considered a flight risk, so in June 2021, a judge denied him permission to travel to Geneva, Switzerland, ostensibly to visit his thirteen-year-old daughter. Actress and model Urvashi Sharma wed Joshi in February 2012.Raina Joshi was her new name after Sharma’s. The pair is parents to three kids.
