The Film and Television Institute of India is where Ruchir Arun received his degree. At the 2014 Indian National Awards, his diploma film Mandrake! Mandrake! won awards in the categories of “Best Short Fiction Film” and “Best Cinematography.” Ruchir, who is currently based in Mumbai, is well-known for directing the Netflix streaming hit digital series Little Things, which was created by Dice Media and Pocket Aces Pictures and starred Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal. In addition, he directed the YouTube sports drama Clutch for Pocket Aces and the family comedy online series What the Folks.
Alongside directors Ayappa KM, Nagraj Manjule, and Nupur Asthana, Ruchir co-wrote and directed the short film Teen Tigada from the anthology series Unpaused: Naya Safar. Ruchir also directed Save The Date for Netflix and the anthology series Feels Like Ishq. On July 22, Ruchir’s forthcoming Disney+Hotstar miniseries “Ghar Waapsi” will premiere.
