Roopa Prabhakar is known for Arjun Reddy (2017), Chowka Bara (2023) and Haalu Sakkare (2001).

Roopa Prabhakar is an actress who became famous for her comedy instincts through the iconic comedy serial Silli Lalli. Her role as the doctor’s sister and as a writer won her accolades. Roopa has a Master’s degree in performing arts from Coventry University, England. She has acted in films television serials, has given dance performances, staged choreography, and even acted in a few commercials. The Talented actress started acting from the age of five and has acted in five different languages. The versatile actress went one step further and has performed in an Italian movie named The Mystery of the Dark Jungle.

Her repertoire includes roles with such great film stalwarts like Dr. Rajkumar, ‘Rajinikanth,’ Akkineni Nagarjuna, and ‘Vishnuvardhan.’ She has acted in movies directed by such great directors, including Dinesh Babu, Ravi Chandran, and Sunil Kumar Desai.

She is well versed with other art forms and is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, and has won a gold medal for her dance performance. She has hosted events in London and Europe. She extended her talent towards singing for a Kannada album in London. She performed at the World Hindu Conference held in Sri Lanka. Roopa married Prashanth Neergundh, another famous Kannada actor who knew her from her college days, and the couple has a daughter. Motherhood and films are keeping Roopa busy. She is also part of the Limelight Acting Academy, training acting aspirants.
